I hear this all the time and it’s usually when a client first arrives to my studio. I’ve got you covered! I totally understand the awkwardness of getting your headshot taken in a studio setting and it’s my job to put you at ease and make this a fun and empowering experience.

I understand that there are photographers out there guilty of creating a cringe-y environment for their clients. They force you into awkward poses and don’t truly understand what clients are looking for from their headshot session. There are also many photographers who don’t specialize in one form of photography, so they’re not very skilled at any specific type of session.

At Castle Rock Headshots, I strive to create a fun and stress-free environment for every client. At my studio I play relaxing music, and through fun conversation we bring out some great genuine expressions. I’m a pretty laid back person so I strive to make my clients relaxed.

You know they say that portrait photography is a lot of psychology and a little photography and I totally agree. To be a great headshot photographer I need to key into what my clients are looking for in their headshot, and then quickly analyze how to bring that out through expression coaching. I’m totally fascinated by it and I learn a lot from every session.
