A Message From the Founder Lisa Christianson
I created this studio because I believe everyone deserves to feel confident in how they show up, especially in the digital world we live in. For me, headshot photography isn’t just about taking a nice picture. It’s about helping real people feel seen, supported, and proud of the image they put out into the world. What I do goes deeper than a smile and good lighting. It’s about intention, expression, and telling your story through a single, powerful image.
My “Why”
I believe a great headshot isn’t just about a polished image. It’s about purpose.
That’s why I love looking deeper into why my clients are getting their headshot done, so we can create something that actually works for them. Whether it’s for a new job, a big career leap, or simply feeling proud of how they show up online, I want every element: lighting, color, expression and posture, to support that specific purpose.
I bring in things like color psychology and wardrobe guidance, because those details matter. I pay attention to the angle, the body language, the expression in the eyes, the things that communicate confidence and intention. When all those elements work together, they tell a visual story that goes way beyond “just a nice photo.”
I believe in helping my clients feel relaxed and seen. Through conversation and connection, I get to know the person behind the professional, their backstory, their personality, and where they’re headed next. That’s the magic behind a powerful headshot. That’s why I do what I do.
What It’s Like to Work With Us
Most of our clients start by telling us they hate having their photo taken, we get it. That’s why we’ve built a process that’s equal parts strategy and support because when you feel seen, you show up differently.
When you book a session, we start with you, your goals, your audience, and where your images will live. Are you going for a promotion? Launching something new? Positioning yourself as a thought leader? Your headshot should reflect all of that and we think it’s important to have a good discussion to get a clear understanding of what you really need from this headshot.
During your session, we will guide you every step of the way, from posing to micro-expressions to wardrobe advice. We’ll coach you through the nerves and pull out the expression that feels the most you whether that’s confident, warm, approachable, powerful, creative… or all of the above.
It’s relaxed. It’s collaborative. It’s fun (yes, even if you don’t like to be photographed).
